Gluten and Dairy free products I LOVE!

Don't let a belly ache stand in your way of enjoying your favorite treats. There are so many excellent alternatives that taste the exact same or better than the originals. Throughout my 4 Years of eating allergen friendly I have found yummy Gluten and Dairy free foods all the way from snacks and goodies to regular bread that wouldn't make you think twice that its missing an ingredient or two.

When I found out that I had a sensitivity to gluten I thought "what the hell even is Gluten?" and for the queens who don't know, Gluten is a combination of naturally bound proteins that can be found in wheat, rye, barley, and variety's of other grain products including flour. SO, when looking at foods to see if they are "gluten free" the main ingredient you are looking for is (WHEAT). For me this was extremely difficult to start looking at ingredients while grocery shopping, eating at restaurants, or even doing something like trying to bake cookies because it was something I never had to do before. Luckily in the first year of my gluten sensitivity diagnosis I met my lovely partner who just so happened to have, you guessed it, a dairy allergy. womp womp.

Andrew, My partner, had eaten dairy free for years before he had met me so he was very used to looking at the ingredients while grocery shopping, looking to see if a fast food restaurant is okay to eat at, or even which recipes to look for while cooking and he was able to teach me the importance of looking for these things, Especially while having an allergy. Well now living in the same household we do have to eat gluten and dairy free for almost every meal to accommodate both of our allergies. So today, follow along with me to explore those substitutions in an everyday gluten and dairy free diet and what we like most about them.

Live G Free is one of my all time favorite gluten free bread substitution. The biggest reason I reach for this brand over others is how much bigger the loafs are (and dairy free). I noticed when making things like sandwiches, avocado toast or even garlic bread this brand is the one I reach for because of how similar it is to regular white bread. Not only do they have great bread but they also have other yummy snacks!

My partner and I have been trying dairy free cheese alternatives for years now and I will say they have came a long way with their dairy free cheese formula. I will even say that we have made a gluten and dairy free grilled cheese that tasted pretty dang close to the real thing all thanks to Daiya. One of my favorite products they make are the 'Cheeze Lovers' pizzas and one of the reasons being is because when I found out about my sensitivity I thought for sure I would have to give up the days of being able to buy frozen pizzas for those quick easy dinner nights but thanks to Daiya its still possible. Thank goodness.

Udi's is where it all began for me. This was the first brand that i ever tried when exploring the gluten free world and they did not disappoint. Udi's is the brand that actually gave me hope for turning gluten free. These Muffins are THE BEST! especially if you need a quick morning breakfast. Udis has so many different options for gluten free breads and snacks and all of them are pretty good. One of my other favorite things about this brand is the Pizza crusts! perfect for a quick at home pizza making. this brand is a great starting point for antone whole is exploring the gluten free world due to their variety!

Oooooo Girl you hit the mark on this one! These cookies are the BOMB!!!! I swear every Holiday, Birthday, PotLuck, Literally anywhere I will be making these cookies. They're the type to make you leave the house at 10pm because you're craving a sweet treat kind of good. I will turn anyone that I meet on to these cookies(even if they don't care about the gluten free, dairy free, or allergen free). Not only are they allergen free but you can not tell they're allergen free. If you have not tried these please go buy them and bake them tonight!

Alrighty, this is for my bakers out there. This is the best flour substitution I have found to turn literally anything from scratch into a gluten free meal. Like we have been able to make gluten free chicken noodles with dumplings and it all starts with a good gluten free flour. Im sure if you're new to the gluten free world and have tried baking/ cooking with diffrent GF flours you have noticed sometimes it ends up in a clump or falling apart and I believe that because it all starts with a good base.
